Brandi & Jared, a naval aviator, had the most beautiful wedding last Saturday at the Belle Meade Plantation in Southwest Nashville. The Autumn colors were near peak and the fall temperatures were perfect for their military wedding. All the gentlemen wore their dress blues and the swordbearers presented their swords during the introductions of the wedding party at the reception, complete with the "official" "Welcome to the Navy, Madam" as they induced her into the long standing tradition of swashing her with the broadside of the blade!
You have to check out the groom's cake, it is one of the most unusal cakes I have ever seen. The cake was made into the navy aviator manual with a bottle of Maker's Mark, also a cake, next to it. Crowning the cake in all of its glory is a cap fashioned after a Vanderbilt University cap but badly scotched as the whole ensemble rests upon a real, red grille! Only one cake maker can perform this degree of originality and artistic skill, Stacy at French Confection Cakes. I will add the wedding and reception were so well organized and implemented and that comes from the very talented Alice Hendry, wedding planner. Flowers were artistically and beautifully created by A Village of Flowers, and the food, oh my gosh, salmon, beef short ribs, grilled vegetables, Chef salad or Apple Ice Salad, all created by Chef's Market.
What a great wedding and the bridesmaids and groomsmen were such fun to hang out with. Brandi & Jared, congratulations! You both Rock!!!
Ciao,
David Wright

Kenna, Erin and Cesar, thank you all and I so appreciate it! Kenna I am so pleased you felt you were at Brandi & Jared's wedding by seeing their wedding photographs online. This is so important as a story teller, conveying the emotions and story through electronic imagery.
Erin, name the location and time and I will be there for your wedding cameras in hand!
