One of the pleasures I have as a professional photographer is the opportunity to meet new and exciting people every day. Every quarter I also have the wonderful opportunity to not only meet new people but also renew old friendships developed through the years at business meetings, awards luncheons, golf outings, bowling tournaments, trade shows and photo shoots of their board of directors and committee members.
TSAE or Tennessee Society of Association Executives is an unique association since it is an association of association directors and staff. This special union of associations consists of many state-wide associations, hotels, resorts, event planners etc that come together quarterly to enhance their own knowledge and skills in non profit management, legislative issues, planning their own meetings and trade shows, and recognize and reward their own for outstanding service and programs.
Friday's meeting at the Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt was TSAE's annual awards meeting. Award recipients were recognized for the best in marketing campaigns, membership growth, program enhancement and the covenanted Association Executive of the Year awarded to a member who's outstanding service and recognition is exemplary. I was last year's winner.
