Saturday afternoon in downtown Nashville, Tennessee

Randi and Josh met me downtown Nashville to create some engagement portraits. We all wanted to create something a little different than the normal engagement/newspaper look. Oh boy were Josh and Randi open for ideas - they even brought a few ideas and props of their own to make the session that much more fun and personal.

I just love walking with clients photographing the terrific texture and color of downtown, a much more urban look. The bricks, stucco, buildings, and colors are so rich and add so much to the image and setting. Once we finished our tour of  Country Music Hall of Fame, Schermerhorn Symphony Center, Broadway and its side streets, we visited Centennial Park and the Parthenon for fabulous photographs in the gardens and along the Doric columns of the Parthenon.

Randi and Josh were just terrific to work with and loved all the fun we had together creating some great engagement portraits. Oh, we also got the token newspaper shot too!

Beth and Austin's day of Celebration at Scarritt and Richland Country Club

Beth and Austin were married last week at Scarritt-Bennett with a reception following at  Richland Country Club. This was a beautiful combination of the wedding site and a great country club setting. Beth Cyprus at Richland created a beautiful ambiance for the reception as you see below.

Wow, what a day and a wonderful couple. Both Beth and Austin, a perfect couple, were so kind and gentle and absolutely great to work with. Austin and Beth chose to see each other prior to the ceremony and what a difference this made in the quality and quantity of photographs created of the two of them and their wedding party and families! Plus, we had the added benefit of some swirling wind. And you know how I love long veils with character. Take a look at the portraits of Beth and her gorgeous veil! I LOVE IT!!!

 The whole day started out great and as the ceremony progress, things became even more magical. By this, I mean look at the wonderful sunburst light coming through as Beth and Austin embraced seconds after walking down the aisle, a creation of light rarely seen. Isn't this awesome?! A very cool shot.
